Short version: this site uses only the cookies it needs to work. No advertising, no analytics, no tracking across other sites. That is why you are not shown a consent banner — under Swiss law and the GDPR, strictly necessary cookies do not require consent.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small file a site stores in your browser, for example to keep you logged in between pages. Similar technologies such as local storage work the same way.
Cookies used on this site
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| wordpress_logged_in_* | Keeps a staff member signed in. Only set after login. | Session, or 14 days if “remember me” is used |
| wordpress_sec_* | Secures the authenticated session in the administration area. | Session |
| wp-settings-* | Remembers a staff member’s admin interface preferences. | 1 year |
| PHPSESSID | Technical session identifier, where the server requires one. | Session |
If you only browse the site without logging in, in practice almost none of these are set.
Third-party content
Fonts are served from our own server, so displaying a page sends nothing to a font provider. Where a page embeds external content such as a video, that provider may set its own cookies once the content loads; this is governed by their policy, not ours.
Controlling cookies
Every browser lets you view, block or delete cookies in its settings. Blocking them all will prevent staff login from working, but browsing the public site will be unaffected.
If this changes
Should we ever add analytics or an embedded service that tracks visitors, this page will be updated and a proper consent banner will be shown before any such cookie is set.
