ABOUT VIRTUAL AIR FESTIVALS
Bringing the world of virtual aviation together through immersive events and community
The story of Virtual Air Festivals traces back to the early days of the flight simulation community, when the first virtual airshows began appearing around 2003. These pioneering online events brought together virtual aerobatic teams and solo pilots to perform synchronized displays using flight simulators, recreating the atmosphere of real-world airshows in a digital environment. One of the most influential events in this movement was the Virtual Festival of Aerobatic Teams, which helped establish the global standard for large-scale virtual aerobatic displays and inspired generations of teams and organizers across the simulation community. Over the years, virtual airshows grew into a vibrant international scene, connecting pilots, teams, and aviation enthusiasts from around the world. In 2021, this evolution led to the creation of Virtual Air Festivals, expanding the concept beyond traditional virtual airshows to produce fully immersive aviation events combining aerobatic displays, storytelling, and live broadcasting for a global audience. Today, Virtual Air Festivals continues this legacy by bringing together the best virtual pilots and teams to celebrate the art of digital flight and aerial performance.
